Ye Wang is an illustration and visual communication practitioner. He studied Illustration at Sheffield Hallam University, where he focused on strengthening his fundamental drawing skills, especially in portraiture and figurative drawing. He is now completing his MA in Communication Design at the University of Southampton, where his practice has expanded to include more user-conscious design approaches and exploratory visual storytelling.

His recent projects include portrait drawing, sequential narratives, and participatory visual systems. Ye’s work often returns to portraiture, as a way of observing and recording people with honesty and attention to detail. Whether in personal sketches or course-led assignments, Ye Wang continues to explore how images can document, communicate, and simplify ideas for different audiences.
